These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the UK Landlord Tax Hub website and services at uklandlordtaxhub.com (the "Platform"), operated by Harris Twenty One Limited ("we", "us", "our"). By registering, subscribing, or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

1. About the Service

The Platform provides help and guidance to help UK landlords manage property income records digitally, prepare quarterly MTD updates, End of Year returns; Self Assessment compliance and capital gains tax reporting on UK land and property, in accordance with HMRC and tax law. We are a tax preparation and filing service.

Key features may include: digital record-keeping templates, income/expense categorisation, quarterly summary generation, calculations, use of tax reliefs; and HMRC digital filing.

Important – Nature of the Service The Platform offers general guidance and tools. We provide MTD compliance; tax return compliance services. Personalised professional advice can be provided if requested for areas such as restructuring; HMRC disputes; tax planning advice via Harris21.com, which is provides full advisory services. We are authorised under HMRC for tax advice. However, you remain solely responsible for:

  • The accuracy and completeness of all data you provide us with;

  • Being truthful at all times;

  • Providing us with the necessary information at least 14 days in advance of the required filing deadline(s);

  • Ensuring we are kept up to date with any changes in your circumstances;

  • Payment of any tax liability within the required deadlines;

  • Your compliance with HMRC rules, MTD obligations, Self Assessment deadlines, and all tax laws ultimately lies with you;

We shall act as your agent with HMRC and file returns on your behalf. We shall liaise with HMRC on your behalf as long as this is within the scope if compliance. We shall not deal with any HMRC inquiries or records checks; or other issues without further agreed terms to do so. The nature of this platform is to supply you with accurate preparation and submission of your HMRC tax returns; MTD returns and other filings which are compliance in nature. We do not independently verify the information you have provided to us.

2. Eligibility and User Account

You must be:

  • A UK resident or landlord with UK property income;

  • Aged 18 or over;

  • Have a Government Gateway set up for your HMRC account

3. Subscription and Payments

  • Access is via paid subscription (monthly as displayed on the Platform).

  • Prices include VAT (where applicable).

  • Payment via Stripe on Squarespace. Recurring billing unless cancelled. Minimum period of contract is 12 months.

  • You authorise automatic renewal. We may change prices with 30 days' notice (email/site).

  • No refunds for partial periods except statutory rights (see below). Late payments may suspend access until payments are up to date.

  • If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

4. Your Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate, complete; and up-to-date information.

  • Use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in compliance with HMRC/MTD rules.

  • Do not provide false data or inaccurate information.

  • Back up your data; you are required to keep all records in case of HMRC records check/investigation. Keep records for 7 years.

5. Intellectual Property and Licence

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Platform during your active subscription for your own property tax management.

All content, software, designs remain our property (or licensors). No reverse-engineering, copying, or commercial resale.

6. Cancellation and Statutory Rights

  • You may cancel anytime via your account/dashboard. Access continues until period end of a minimum of 12 months (no pro-rata refund unless required by law).

  • As a consumer, you have a 14-day cooling-off right for distance contracts: cancel within 14 days of signup for full refund (if no service used). Notify us in writing (email acceptable). If you request early access/start, you waive this for used portion of services provided.

  • Model Cancellation Form: "I hereby give notice that I cancel my contract for the supply of the [Platform subscription] ordered on [date]/received on [date]." Send to hello @uklandlordtaxhub.com.

7. Availability and Changes

We aim for high uptime but provide "as is". We may update features, suspend for maintenance, or change terms (30 days' notice for material changes).

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:.

  • We are not liable for: tax penalties, interest, HMRC disputes, data loss, lost profits, or indirect/consequential losses.

  • Our total liability (per claim or in aggregate) is limited to the subscription fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

  • Nothing excludes liability for: fraud, death/personal injury from negligence, or statutory rights you cannot waive.

You indemnify us against claims arising from your data inaccuracy; non-compliance or lack of updated information.

9. Data Protection

We process your personal data (e.g., name, property details, financial info) per our Privacy Policy and UK GDPR.

10. Termination

We may suspend/terminate for breach (e.g., non-payment, misinformation, no response), with notice where possible. On termination, access ends; no refund for unused time.

11. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Disputes subject to exclusive jurisdiction of English courts (or your local if consumer rights apply).

12. General

Force majeure: no liability for events beyond control (e.g., cyber attacks, HMRC changes). Entire agreement. If any part invalid, rest remains. We may assign/transfer these Terms.
